As far as N-ended links in the D&L layer goes, please remember that
we plan to open up the B&O layer in Release 2, at which point the
developers can build their own kinds of links. Let us not build
N-ended links in D&L for Release 1 unless somebody we really care
about really needs and can use them so swiftly that Release 2 is
too far away.
