Website Metalanguage, a preprocessing language/tool for HTML, for example
allowing the author to define convenience tags that are expanded to
proper HTML by the WML preprocessor.
WML (or some other preprocessing tool) really simplifies the job of a
webmaster a lot, since it takes the boring parts of the job (writing
tables to do navbars to every HTML file, for example, or marking every
d.something up as <tt>d.something</tt>) away.
